Our flagship initiative, the Vision In Action Sustainability Awards, recognizes trailblazers in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), Energy, and Technology for their efforts in carbon footprint reduction, resource efficiency, ESG compliance, and green finance innovation. By celebrating industry leaders championing sustainability, we inspire businesses and individuals to adopt eco-conscious strategies as a core priority.
To ensure credibility and transparency, VIA collaborates with the Islamic International Rating Agency (IIRA), a globally respected ESG rating agency headquartered in Bahrain. Established in 2005, IIRA specializes in independent assessments focused on ethical finance, governance, and sustainability within the Islamic financial system. Under the leadership of President Faheem Ahmad, IIRA has pioneered initiatives like Fiduciary Ratings, evaluating governance and Shariah compliance in financial institutions across 14 Islamic countries. This partnership strengthens the integrity of our awards, ensuring evaluations align with internationally benchmarked sustainability criteria.
Our Future Goals
Looking ahead, VIA is committed to broadening its impact by:
Workshops & Training: Expanding sustainability-focused workshops and training sessions across Oman and the broader Middle East, led by experts in ESG, sustainability, and corporate responsibility. These sessions will provide organizations with actionable insights to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and adopt sustainable business practices tailored to Oman’s unique landscape.
Digital Innovation: Launching the Vision In Action Mobile App in late 2025 to empower individuals with tools like a carbon footprint calculator, personalized insights, and sustainability rewards. The app aims to inspire everyday eco-conscious choices, from reducing household energy usage to selecting sustainable transportation options.
Community Engagement: Driving public-private partnerships and fostering cross-industry collaborations to scale green initiatives, support government objectives, and build a culture of sustainability.
